James, Coral, Zona, and Sage move down to the ranch. Coral’s Mom, Debby, and friend, Matt, come down with them and help clean up the place and get it ready for living!
We adopted 5 Kitties! Our friend had a stray cat that had given birth to 5 kittens. We took the mother and 4 of the kittens. Their names are Terrapin Turtle, Midnight Rider, Steely Jones, Susie Q, and Momma Goose. Kittens are so cute! The kittens love the dogs too.
We had to clear out the old horse corral for our garden. We are so lucky to have a large area that was already fenced off. James had to cut a dead tree out of the center of the garden. The garden had also become a tire landfill. James and Coral spent all day moving the tires out of the area.
Once the field was cleared we rented a rototiller and tilled up all the grasses and the top layer of soil. We plan on using no-till practices for the garden but since the soil had not been worked in many years we felt the easiest way to clear out the garden was by mechanical means.
